Behind the Scene...

"Bay fisherman often look for feeding gulls to pinpoint where redfish or speckled trout may be feeding on forage fish. They may then attempt to ease their boat over close enough to cast into the area or shuffle along in shallow water toward the gulls hoping to not spook the fish if they are close by. In this painting I attempted to show the gulls hovering over some speckled trout just under the water surface. The two fishermen are hoping to cash in on their good fortune." ~Wade Butler
